I heard things'll improve in spring, but hey, everyone can keep moving down.
And the gender ideas!
How's that?!
I agree; Sisu seems too awkward to be in the potential loop. Maybe she tried to stop whoever provoked the Druun, and was cursed to become an old woman.

Sounds interesting. We'll see. I just have a feeling things aren't gonna be black and white, seeing Frozen II and how cut and dry Raya's synopsis is. Something tells me the dragons aren't all good.
I've noticed Disney has picked up a habit of hinting at future productions through shows and live action movies. From what I've seen, it looks like we're getting a neurodivergent protagonist, an Indian Princess, and a likely Southern or Eastern European princess consort who reverses gender roles around a Disney icon that has become a bit controversial in recent years. Pixar revealed it will have a disabled protagonist in 2022, which may point to the culmination of the hinted neurodivergent lead.
We may be getting a full-length Meander/2D+ style next decade, seeing how animation is developing. WDAS will probably want to hone their 3D animation further, seeing how realistically detailed Raya's design is, then take the next step into 2D+ animation. WDAS may not be ready right now because the 2D+ style is still limited to simple, stylistic forms, and not the detailed designs for bigger features.
I'd say the Revival Era was more like the Golden Age in terms of storytelling, while Moana and the successive films "with the exception of Ralph Breaks the Internet as a tribute sendoff to the Revival Era" are more like the Renaissance, specifically late Renaissance films like Mulan.
Edna: "I used to design for gods!" Cruella (cackling) "Oh, Edna darling, I've designed for Hades himself, a literal god." Edna "Oh yeah, well my designs can withstand temperatures of up to 1,000 degrees! Can yours do that dahling?"
Things of that nature. A running gag could be Cruella keeps mentioning working with Galbaki (Edna's fashion rival from Incredibles 2) which triggers Edna's berserk button.
Sounds great!
As you all know, I NEED this Druun to die! I also predict for a plot twist, maybe this Druun is a male who until revealed pretends to be a female!
The Druun are a group of monsters. I have a feeling there is more to them than meets the eye. They are obviously bad, as they kill Raya's father early in the film, but every villain has some kind of personal motive or grudge.
I've always felt that if or when Elsa is ready for romance "she likely has to work through her lingering daddy issues first, seeing past Disney Princesses," her partner will be very different, just like her. Probably more nerdy to contrast Kristoff and complement Elsa's generally cool approach.

Sounds like we're on the same page. There's a big unanswered question there that Anna and Elsa have to discover, and it could threaten Arendelle again.
You're welcome.
I'd say so, as "Raya" was first envisioned in the Lasseter years as "Dragon Empire."
Yeah, we don't know what made Runeard hate magic; his wording implied a dark wizard tried to conquer Arendelle in his early years as king.
Sorry, but D23 confirmed Raya has a late biological father and younger brother. She's in the Mulan family.
Bajong and Little Jong could be the "giant armadillo" creatures, Bajong being the parent and Little Jong being the cute sidekick. Alternatively, they're Raya's father and brother.
It looks like Raya will be a "princess in heroism" like Moana and Mulan. My prediction is that Raya and Sisu learning to embrace each other's strengths and weaknesses will be the heart of the film. Like Moana and Maui, Raya will believe only Sisu can save Kumandra, but then they save the land together.
Maybe Moana will be inducted in 2021 to join the hype around Raya and Encanto.
