Sinopsis

Desarrollo

En febrero de 2018, el CEO de Disney, Bob Iger, reveló que se estaban desarrollando algunas series de acción real de Star Wars para Disney+. Las series fueron anunciadas oficialmente por Bob Iger durante los resultados fiscales del año completo y del cuarto trimestre de 2018 de Disney el 8 de noviembre de 2018. El 30 de noviembre, se informó de que el productor ejecutivo Stephen Schiff había sido contratado como showrunner, mientras que se reveló que el escritor de Moana, Jared Bush, había originado el proyecto escribiendo un guión piloto y una biblia de la serie.

El 15 de octubre de 2019, el coguionista Tony Gilroy escribiría para la serie además de dirigirla El 3 de diciembre de 2020, Diego Luna confirmó que la serie había empezado a rodarse en Londres.

El 4 de junio de 2021, Deadline informó de que Robert Emms se unía al reparto de la serie en un papel no revelado, también que la serie terminaría de rodarse este verano.

El 10 de junio de 2021, se informó de que Forest Whitaker y Ben Mendelsohn retomarían sus papeles de Saw Gerrera y Orson Krennic en la serie.

El 9 de agosto de 2021, se informó de que Alex Lawther se había unido al reparto de la serie en un papel no revelado.

El rodaje terminó oficialmente el 27 de septiembre.

El 6 de febrero de 2022, Stellan Skarsgård reveló que la segunda temporada comienza a rodarse en otoño de 2022.

El 16 de febrero de 2022, se informó de que Nicholas Britell compondría la partitura de la serie.
