Ant-Man and the Wasp (Ant-Man y la Avispa en España) es la secuela de la película de Marvel Studios, Ant-Man, lanzada el 6 de Julio del 2018. Es la vigésima entrega del Universo Cinematográfico de Marvel así como la octava película en la Fase Tres.
En el final de Captain America: Civil War, Scott Lang, alias Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) es dejado enfrentando las consecuencias de sus acciones como superhéroe y padre. Cuando es confrontado por Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) y el Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) con una urgente nueva misión, Scott debe ponerse una vez más el traje de Ant Man y aprende a luchar junto a la Avispa. Mientras el equipo trabaja junto, descubrirán secretos de su pasado.
El 10 de Febrero de 2017, Michael Douglas reveló que regresaría a interpretar su papel del Dr. Hank Pym.[3]
En abril, se reveló que David Dastmalchian regresaría a interpretar a Kurt.[4]T.I. fue confirmado el 23 de Mayo de 2017 para regresar como Dave.
El 7 de Junio de 2017, Hannah John-Kamen de Black Mirror de Netflix se unió al reparto.[5] El personaje que interpretaría sería revelado después en la Comic-Con de San Diego el 22 de Julio de 2017, como Fantasma. Otros anuncios del casting fueron revelados, con Laurence Fishburne como el Dr. Bill Foster, Randall Park como el Agente Jimmy Woo y Janet van Dyne, la esposa de Hank y la original Avispa, será interpretada por Michelle Pfeiffer.[6]
