Ícaro es un personaje de la serie animada Hercules. Él era el mejor amigo de Hércules durante su estadía en La Academia Prometeus. También tenía una obsesión romántica con su amiga Cassandra.
Por haber intentado volar demasiado cerca del sol, quemó su cerebro, dejando extravagante pero adorable. A pesar de ser un chico gentil, Ícaro se enoja fácilmente y conduce a grandes actos de rencor especialmente cuando está consumido . Cuando estaba celoso de su padre Dédalo, a quien suele referirse como "Dad-alus" en el momento de su segunda boda con su nueva esposa, robó la caja de Pandora para desviar la atención de su padre y colocó virus para atacar la boda. Luego, celoso por el nuevo novio de Cassandra, Melampus (que se parece a él), se metió en la fábrica del querubín Cupido e hizo una flecha de odio. Cantó mientras lo hacía.

Antes de la serie[]
Ícaro nació siendo hijo del gran, Dédalo un famoso inventor y su madre una dueña de una fabricación de cerámica de gran éxito.
Pero sus padres se divorciaron en buenos términos, algo que afectó al joven Ícaro rehusándose a aceptarlo, su madre se mudó a Ítaca mientras él permanecía en Atenas con su padre. Ícaro mantiene una relación muy estrecha con sus padres y regularmente pasa sus veranos trabajando con su madre.
Al igual que los relatos Icaro voló muy cerca del sol, pero la diferencia de las escrituras es que en vez de morir en la caída, solo lo quemaron hasta darle la apariencia que conocemos y el acontecimiento es por el que desde entonces se ha hecho conocido. Ícaro también está irremediablemente enamorado de su amiga, Cassandra, a quien considera su novia, a pesar de que sus sentimientos son claramente unilaterales
Es el personaje principal acompañando a Hércules donde hacen aventuras y travesuras que pueden salir bien o mal (sobre todo mal para él).
En el episodio "Hercules and the Yearbook", Phil contó que tras la graduación y en la época de la película Ícaro fue a manufacturar con su padre, Dédalo, y se volvió muy rico, ganando el nombre "Ícaro: Rey de Alas de Cera".
En "Hercules and the Arabian Night", fue secuestrado por Jafar y se alió con Abu para detenerlo y a Hades. Ícaro luego, quería un mono luego que se despidió de Abú.
