Frozen, The broaway musical es una próxima adaptación musical del largometraje de animación de Disney del 2013, Frozen.

Producción

El musical fue anunciado el 13 de enero de 2014 por el presidente de Walt Disney Company, Bob Iger, y Disney Theatrical Productions. 

En una entrevista de octubre de 2014, Thomas Schumacher, presidente de Disney Theatrical Group, reveló que las discusiones sobre un musical habían comenzado incluso antes de que la película fuera estrenada casi un año antes. Después de ver Frozen en una proyección previa a la liberación a medianoche, le escribió a Lasseter a las 1:30 am con "¿Cuándo podemos empezar?" Y recibí una llamada de Lasseter en 60 segundos. Schumacher explicó: "Mi trabajo es acorralar a los escritores de la película, ya estoy hablando con los directores, y tengo un concepto de diseño, y tenemos que empezar a diseñar esta idea. Rápido, tiene que ser genial ".

El 23 de julio de 2015, The New York Times informó que entre varios proyectos, los compositores estaban "escribiendo sobre una docena de nuevas canciones" para el musical Frozen

El 10 de febrero de 2016, Disney anunció que el show debutará oficialmente en la primavera de 2018, con un contrato pre-Broadway previsto para el verano de 2017 (17 de agosto al 1 de octubre), en el Teatro Buell en el Denver Center for the Performing Artes en Denver Colorado.
