Elena de Avalor (también conocida cómo la princesa Elena, y cuyo nombre completo es Elena Castillo Flores) es la protagonista de la serie Elena de Ávalor.
Descripción[]
Es la princesa heredera del reino de Ávalor. Al cumplir los quince años, sus padres le regalan un amuleto mágico (el amuleto de Ávalor de Sofia con otro color), pero acaba encerrada dentro del amuleto por culpa de una hechicera malvada durante 41 años. Finalmente es liberada del amuleto por la princesa Sofia y regresa a Ávalor a recuperar su reino.
Ahora, con solo dieciséis años, debe gobernar Ávalor bajo la supervisión de un comité formado por sus abuelos, su primo y canciller Esteban y su nueva amiga Naomi.
Historia[]
Elena nació en Ávalor ya siendo princesa, como la hija del Rey Raul y la Reina Lucía. En su decimoquinto cumpleaños, a Elena le regalaron el Amuleto de Ávalor, que la protegería. Un año después de eso, cuando tenía dieciséis años, una malvada bruja llamada Shuriki quién quería lastimar a la familia real, al lanzar un hechizo contra Elena, el Amuleto encerró a Elena en su interior. Shuriki en su ataque logró matar al Rey y a la Reina de Ávalor, mientras que el Hechicero Real de Ávalor, Alkazar, lanzó un hechizo para proteger al resto de la familia real.
El amuleto que encerraba a Elena fue guardado por Alkazar, pero eventualmente, este fue envejeciendo. Tras muchos años de búsqueda, el Amuleto de Ávalor terminó en las manos de la Princesa Charlotte de Isleworth, y tiempo después de eso, pasó a ser parte de las joyas de la familia real de Enchancia. En este lugar, perteneció a la abuela del actual Rey de Enchancia, Rolland, quién se lo dio a su hija Matilda, hermana del Rey Rolland y más comúnmente conocida como la tía Tilly. El amuleto terminó entonces guardado en el castillo, hasta que el Rey Rolland se lo regaló a la Princesa Sofia, por su llegada al castillo y transformación en princesa de Enchancia.
Sofia descubrió después de un tiempo que Elena estaba atrapada dentro, cuando ya habían transcurrido cuarenta y un años del ataque de Shuriki, y la liberó. Lo que pasa entre la liberación de Elena y su regreso a Ávalor se descubrirán en la próxima película de Disney Junior, Elena and the Secret of Ávalor que se estrenará en noviembre de 2016.
Después de salvar Ávalor, Elena se reencuentra con sus abuelos maternos, Luisa y Francisco, su primo, el canciller Esteban, y su querida hermana la princesa Isabel.
