Es la chica más popular y perfecta del Instituto East High. Además, es también la hermana melliza de Ryan Evans. Ryan y ella son los co-presidentes del Club de Drama del instituto y al parecer consiguen todos los papeles protagonistas. Ella proviene de una familia rica y, por eso, tiene la vida que tiene. Sharpay suele llegar al instituto con un coche rosa en el que tiene el nombre de su propia matricula. Tiene un cachorro de perro llamado Boi, al que al igual que ella suele vestir de rosa. En ocasiones, se demuestra que está secretamente enamorada de Zeke Baylor, aunque también siente cierto amor hacía Troy Bolton y en Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure de Peyton Leverett.
