Can you imagine what will happen if Luz hasn't step foot there?
Can you imagine what will happen if Luz hasn't step foot there?
Easily the second greatest animated show ever
It was supposed to be only for children or teenagers but the story and relationships and developments and emotions was so deep that proved that it can be interesting and meaningful for all ages.
Layered even for adults.
The further the story and characters go, the more involved you become with them.
Once you start watching , You can't even think about stop watching it.
And if you want more of the owl house and Lumity of course , You should follow moringmarkugh from instagram , He's been continuing the beloved show and expanding it since January 2021.
He literally fixed the damage disney caused.
If you didn't like the owl house or even hated it: Then your heart is dead.
If it's because of some lgbt , It just shows lgbt , Not advertising or forcing it , None of the characters keep saying " Hey I'm gay " Or it doesn't portray homophobic people as villains , Their sexsual orientation is just there but they don't keep mentioning it and it's not something that is absolutely necessary to advance the story or character writing or their developments , Relationships such as Lumity is just some story element , We don't see people protest because of their relationships, They're Not a political message center , Exactly like any classic relationship , The main elements of the show are : adventure , Learning magic , Friends and family , Having the courage to be the person we really want to be and not be ashamed of it , Anyway , Those lgbt things are all just in the animation and don't have that much of an impact on the story , and the story process is still great , It doesn't force you to like the characters or their relationships , It's just healthy with low intensity , Not extremist and sloganeering with some nude scenes like shows such as harley or Disenchantment or Hellavaverse shows or even Arcane , anyway , shows such as she ra and the princesses of power and Arcane and even steven universe have some lgbt , does that make them bad ?
Hating it for being just a story with some lgbt with low intensity in it like some people in this link is crazy :
https://www.instagram.com/p/DSVXKjjDHdD/?igsh=MW5udTBya2kwMmtheg==
The whole lgbt thing is just a subplot.
Everything about this show is Awesome : The romance , The world building , The animation , The plot and etc. Literally everything , Rich and deep plot , Layered and complex character writing , Strong comedy , the great balance of comedy and heart and serious themes and the unique interesting eye-catching world building , engaging story and touching music and songs and beauty of characters and their relationships especially in romance like Lumity which is the best animated couple. This show is very colorful in everything. You just need to be able to think outside the box to see it.
Although , The pacing could have been better but it was still good . But like I said , Moringmarkugh already fixed the pacing problem , Kinda.
The show teaches us that we don't have to be something we're not just to be accepted by others , We just need to be what we actually are. It encourages the audience to not hide their real character and fight for it just like what Luz , Amity , Willow and Gus did , Fighting their way to earn the real personality and expand it and not be ashamed of their real personality.
Character developments can literally touch your feelings especially the characters I mentioned , They weren't long for like 6 seasons for sure but they didn't need to be , They showed even one or two season developments can be great as well , Some of them are even among the best character developments in animation history.
You don't have to agree with me if you don't.
The ending was a kinda cut short for sure but the creator wrapped it up and wrote it so brilliant that it doesn't even feel like it was rushed , Definitely the best ending among shows made by disney and disney can bite it.
Like I said , Moringmarkugh already fixed the problem for us.
Not only it doesn't fit disney's brand but it's also much better than anything disney ever made.
A very well character driven show with a immersive storytelling and layered character writing.
These are the main elements of the show:
Learning magic , Adventure , Family and friendship and learning to embracing our real self and not be ashamed of who really are and the fact that making mistakes is part of life and we don't always have to face the consequences alone , We should ask help from the people who care about us.
The characters including the protagonist feel real, touching. Friendship is more than just sharing interests, it's about bonding.
I saw a lot of people admitting that the characters of this show are relatable to them especially Amity.
I even see some of myself in Willow , And a little bit of me in Luz and Amity and Gus.
Easily the greatest animated show after Avatar the last airbender and also the best thing disney ever made.
It's not a perfect show.
But it doesn't matter because no series is perfect.
I'm not saying having lgbt makes a show bad , I just saw people saying it's so bad because having gay stuff which is crazy , I don't care if a show has lgbt or not , The story and character writing is more important to me and The Owl house did a great job in both.
Such thing called perfection among animated shows doesn't really exist.
Everything has flaws but it's okay.
ATLA and TOH : The only shows that could truly get inside my heart.
Her development and redemption makes sense when you see what she's been through , The Amity we saw on the beginning wasn't the real her, She was never a bully on the inside , She was forced to be due to her mother’s abusive and social pressure , Her arrogance and confidence was a mask , Before Luz , Everyone just saw her on the outside and judged her based on what she was doing , Even Willow , No one accepted the real her , Although she still had some soft points such as reading book to kids and leaving Grugby after hurting her friends , But things like humiliation after witch's duel and her humiliation in front of her siblings were the first cracks on her mask , Luz was the first person who showed her kindness and honesty and saw the real her inside her and accepted her without wanting anything in return on judging her , She showed her that it's okay to be imperfect , She inspired her and encouraged her to not be ashamed of her real self and fight for the person she really wants to be , So it's normal if Amity falls in love with Luz , Because she's the first one who made her feel safe. Luz brought hope and happiness back to her life.
Saying things like she suddenly change after 3 episodes or just became a girlfriend with no character or just a gay disaster or saying Luz is her sole motivation to do anything or becoming soft just so she could get with Luz is just surface level takes.
She didn't lose her personality , She earned it. She was finally happy , an brave , kind and rebellious individual who fights for the person she wants to be and protect the people she loves against anyone who tries to hurt them.
We saw her panic around Luz ? Sure , But we only saw her obsessed with Luz or saying I'm Luz gf for only one or two episodes , Some people really just exaggerate about that, Besides , It's a normal teenager thing to blush about their crush , It's a crush trait , Not gay trait.
Besides , she was still new to expressing feelings , She wasn't an expert at it , And that's okay , it's how people usually do about their crush.
Romance doesn't erase her personality , It helped it growth :
Her softness
Her anxiety
Her friendship
Her awkwardness
Her protective instincs .
Those traits were already there , Just buried , A character showing vulnerability is not losing their personality , It's expanding it.
Being soft around Luz doesn't erase or replace her personality , It adds depth :
Her intelligence
Her determination
Her bravery
Her moral growth
Her friendships.
She still has her own agency outside her romance with Luz :
Fixing her relationship with Willow
Facing her fear of playing grudby to protect her real friends and stand up to the unreal
Friends
Standing up to Odalia and threatening their business to protect her friends
Reconnecting with her siblings
Attending the brawl without her father's permission and then Reconnecting with him
Helping the rebellion and fighting Belos
Confronting Boscha
Final confrontation of Odalia after she tried to warn her about the day of unity and trying to take the control of her life again by trying to remove Luz from her life only because she wasn't a rich girl or something.
Helping to rebuild the isles.
Trying to find a way to go home.
Becoming so awesome at using abomination.
In the epilogue , We can see her becoming an Explorer who travels all around the world.
So yeah , Her storyline exists out of romance .
If she was only a gay disaster , she wouldn't have any of that.
She's a prodigy at abomination for sure , But she never really wanted to become a prodigy or join a coven or something.
She wanted to be a kid having fun with her friends.
In s3 e1 , We can see that she's totally happy , Spending time with her friends , Trying fashion with them , Watching silly movies with them , going to beach with her girlfriend , Wearing Halloween customes. She was finally happy. She was being the real herself and embracing her real character.
So it makes zero sense to say she only became a girlfriend with no character or just a gay disaster.
She never lost her personality , She earned it.
You wanna know what's unique about her ? A brave , kind individual with passion who doesn't afraid of being the real herself and protect the people she loves against anyone who tries to hurt them.
She still has her interests : Library and books especially Azura , Abomination and friendship.
She still has some competitive spirit but she was mentally healthy.
She has the pride , but it's real now.
You can see all of it if you be able to look outside the box.
If not the most , She's one of the most complex character in the show with layered feelings.
If you upset about screen time it's okay , So good we have Moringmarkugh from Instagram to continue the show and especially Amity’s story for us , He's been expanding it since 2021 and fixing the damage disney caused.

This is where Amity, King and Eda journey to get Titan's blood.
The voice of Malina, Tambry, .GIFfany and Genet!
The voice of Amity!
This is where everyone prepares for the Day of Unity.
Happy Birthday to the voices of Pete, Big Bad Wolf, Goofy, Sneezy, Willie, Gladstone, Mole, Weasel, Scrooge, Pongo, Rabbit, Tigger and Herald!
Both of those tropes are about people hurting someone they care about in order to protect them, both tropes describe what Amity did when she had to pretend to be mean to Willow after her 8th birthday.
In Shrek the Third, Charming prepares to kill Artie to retain the crown. To save Artie's life, Shrek lies, claiming that he was just using Artie to replace him as the next king. Charming believes Shrek and allows a disheartened Artie to leave. Shrek pretended he didn't really care about Artie and berated him, calling him an utter loser. Donkey and Puss both point out that Charming would have murdered Arthur had Shrek not made him look so pitiful. As one tie-in book put it, "but a broken heart is better than broken arms and legs".
The TV Tropes "Break His Heart to Save Him" and "Cruel to Be Kind" are example of this.

My reasons to hate her is nothing to do with me being lesbophobic. I am not lesbophobic in any way. I'm going to explain WHY I hate her.
She was a bully. I know, I know, you may clamour at me "tHaT's WhAt ChArAcTeR dEvElOpMeNt Is", she was WAY too cowardly to even stand up to Boscha and her parents in the first place, now they may have threatened her with making sure Willow isn't admitted into Hexside, but she could've just told Willow to leave and she could've pretended that she wasn't her friend. No matter what she was going through, it does not excuse bullying. I wouldn't even justify bullying in the slightest. Ever.
Some of her fans are toxic and immature. They have gotten angry all because I make grounded videos out of her on YouTube, when I only do that to express my hatred for her. Some of my friends actually like those videos.
While she did stop harassing Willow, she never did anything to make up for it. She just left her alone, and she didn't even leave her old friends after she apologized for harassing Willow. Not to mention, she did nothing to build trust and act as a better person. She basically just tolerated Willow as if she was some unimportant little child.
Her crush on Luz makes absolutely no sense. She hated her, but then just crushed on her 5 seconds later.
Everytime I say my opinion on her, some immature people who probably don't even know what opinions are have just immediately assumed I'm homophobic, in which I'm not, although I used to be, but I changed my mind when I had a school lesson showing that it's okay to be gay, and I felt guilty for being homophobic. We even watched a short film "In A Heartbeat". However, that's nothing to do with why I hate Amity. Back to her...
I remember someone harassing me for hating her, but now we're on good terms.
I can't even share my opinion on her unless I meet someone else who hates her. I force myself to keep it to myself unless someone asks. I remember someone harassing my friend who actually is scared of Amity for hating the latter and Lumity, she kept saying things like "Stop hating Lumity", she even told me to go to hell for hating Amity once. And I'm not joking that the friend is actually scared of Amity. I think the harasser either got terminated or closed her account since this was on YouTube.
She treated poor Eda like an idiot in Eclipse Lake, when all she wanted to do was just learn how to go into harpy mode. And she even says "Yes, yes, you're old, who cares?", that's kind of rude. Eda can't be that old, and this might just be from my point of view, but from that line, it kind of makes her look like she only cared about helping Luz. I know helping people is good, but she didn't have to treat Eda like an idiot for it. She's kind of a Luz simp from my point of view, no offense and not going to lie...
I just do.
I'm okay with it if you like her. Just don't harass me or anyone that hates her. Everyone has the right to like or hate what they want, just as long as they're not defending Hitler or Osama bin Laden or anyone like them. Have a good rest of the day/evening/night.
You're familiar with the expression "subverting expectations", right? Essentially, that's what we're discussing here in relation to a character. This is why I described Amity as a subversion of the typical bully archetype. At first, you expect her to fit that traditional role, but as season 1 progresses and is fully explored in "Understanding Willow", it's gradually revealed that she isn't actually a bully.
