Lions of Disneyland: an interactive game attraction for Disneyland park that will debut on February 22, 2025. The game focuses on Rani recruiting park guests as new apprentice lions and sending them out to battle various Disney villains, recruited by Bellwether, throughout the park's themed lands using special spell cards.
Any spell cards ideas?
Is Disney losing it’s “enjoyable villain streak”. Let’s check who I think is the most similar villain from the Disney Renaissance I found and compare the to post-2012 villains which is roughly when they lost “enjoyable villain streak”.
Hans vs Gaston: Hans and Gaston both have the thing where they want to marry the main protagonist for a selfish cause. The difference, however, is that Gaston was first introduced in Beauty and the Beast, he was in a shadow with a smug grin on his face and a shotgun while killing an animal. Hans was introduced as a friendly but clumsy prince standing off the side of a dock with his horse.
Yokai vs Clayton: Both are at first trusted by the main protagonist at first, that’s really the only similarity between the two I could find, there nobody else from the renaissance era that really fits Yokai’s bill. Again, Clayton is introduced with a gun while Yokai is introduced with a... green jumper and a watch? Again, the Disney villain twists seem to be very frequent and sometimes don’t work out too well in the end.
Bellwether vs Ursula: Every-swear-word-you-can-imagine you Disney! You’ve done it, you’ve made the weakest villain of all time in the form a sheep with prescription glasses. I don’t care if she has an evil plan, she is stupid and dumb. She feels so out of place in this beautiful, emotional movie. Why is she paired with Ursula, you ask. Because Disney abandoned the formula of a female villain for the renaissance era and nobody else fit her.
Tamatoa vs Ratcliffe: Tamatoa is quite interesting, I was able to easily find him a match as they both love gold and are highly greedy. Tamatoa is quite enjoyable which sets him apart from the other guys. This might reset Disney’s “enjoyable villain streak”. Let’s just wait and see until Wreck it Ralph 2 comes out to theaters.
I mean, if Hans is considered a Disney Villain, even so he only reveals to be a villain in the last act of the movie, why shouldn't she be too?

I have been wondering why Dawn Bellwether was darting every predator in Zootopia. I've been thinking that she had a rough childhood like Nick and Judy, I think that she was humiliated by the bully predators (Similar how Nick was picked on during his childhood). The bully Prediators sheered all of her fur off with an electric shaver and she ran away and cry while the bullies laughed at her.
And insted of leting it go like Nick and Judy did, she might halved developed a deep strong hatred towrads the predators more than anyone in Zootopia, as the years passed she became Lionheart's assistant mayor and she hired some of henchmen to use the nighthowlers to target every predators, and turned them into savages. But after she was defeted by Nick and Judy, she was arrested at the end for what she had done.
What do you say to that?
