I am fine with remakes but recently Disney just made remakes for cashgrabs. There are a few good remakes such as Cinderella (2015), or at least as good as the original (ex: Beauty and the Beast 2017). But most of the time the remakes tends to falls flat and underwhelming, also lack of magic and charm vibes unlike the original ones, for some case the remake just ruin the original story and characters; ex. Maleficent (2014).

I also think Disney seems likely only cares to remaking popular movies, considering how large the fanbase of respective movies are. That's why the thing such as The Lion King (2019) was exist, considering how it wasn't actually a live action movie, just all of CGI landscapes and characters, it was actually works better as a super realistic animated movie. I despise the idea of remaking movies full of animals characters because we already know how they looks like.

I also hope they won't remake CGI animated movies in future (such as Pixar movies, Tangled, Frozen, etc.) couldn't be more ridiculous.

Overally, a lot of sequels, remakes and reboots just prove how Disney are currently out of ideas.
