Tous trois sont tourmentés par leur désir naturel de manger du poisson et par leur impopularité auprès desdits poissons et de la population de l'océan en général. Ils ont donc opté pour un style de vie "végétarien", ont juré de renoncer à manger du poisson, et mènent une vie "bien sous tous rapports"."[1]
