„Alley Oop” - piosenka napisana i skomponowana przez Dallasa Fraziera w 1957 roku (premiera piosenki była 3 lata później). Piosenka została zainspirowana komiksem o tym samym tytule stworzonym przez amerykańskiego rysownika VT Hamlina.
The Hollywood Argyles, krótkotrwały zespół studyjny, nagrał piosenkę w 1960 roku, dzięki czemu utwór osiągnął 1. miejsce na liście Billboard Hot 100 i 3. miejsce na amerykańskiej liście R&B. Dotarł także na 24 miejsce na brytyjskiej liście przebojów. Został wyprodukowany przez Gary'ego Paxtona, który również śpiewał główny wokal. W tym czasie Paxton miał kontrakt z wytwórnią Brent Records, gdzie nagrywał jako Flip of Skip & Flip.
Piosenka doczekała się kilku wersji, m.in. w wykonaniu zespołu Beach Boys i wersji brazylijskiej pod nazwą "Brucutu", którą wykonał brazylijski piosenkarz Roberto Carlos w 1965 roku.
Piosenkę tę wykonał jaskiniowiec towarzystwie Zwierzaka, prehistorycznych świń oraz prehistorycznych zwierząt, w tym brontozaura w 16 odcinku piątego sezonu programu The Muppet Show.
