'Ohana is a family-style table restaurant located at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort at the Walt Disney World Resort.

History[]

'Ohana opened on April 12, 1995 where it replaced the former Papeete Bay Verandah (which originally opened on October 1, 1971 with the rest of the Walt Disney World Resort), a restaurant which also served Polynesian cuisine with authentic Hawaiian entertainment. Papeete Bay Verandah permanently closed on September 1994 and was later reopened under its current name "'Ohana" in April 1995.

Summary[]

'Ohana is presented in the style of a family-style table restaurant located at the second floor of Disney's Polynesian Village Resort at the Great Ceremonial House building both served during breakfast or dinner hours. The restaurant itself overloooks the Seven Seas Lagoon and Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The restaurant itself offers authentic Polynesian themes in order to match the hotel's theme. In addition to the restaurant itself having an authentic Polynesian theme, 'Ohana also serves Hawaiian cuisine which guests can also enjoy while dining in at the restaurant to enjoy the authentic foods from Hawaii.

Other media[]

  • The 'Ohana restaurant was also featured in the Disney Magic Kingdoms video game, introduced in the Lilo & Stitch update on April 18, 2018 during the limited time event and was included within the update. Unlike the one in the Disney's Polynesian Village Resort area, this depiction of 'Ohana is portrayed as an outdoor restaurant unlike its real-life counterpart which is located inside the Great Ceremonial House building itself.
