- January 17 - The Walt Disney Company announced that they have dropped the Fox name on both 20th Century Fox and Fox Searchlight Pictures and were renamed as 20th Century Studios and Searchlight Pictures. Its logos and fanfare were still kept intact.[14]
- March 24 - Disney+ will launch in Austria, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Ireland, and Switzerland. For its launch in France, Canal+ would become the exclusive distributor for Disney+.
