  • After the release of The Woman in the Window, Disney will shut down Fox 2000.
  • January 6 - The Disney Channel becomes an uninterrupted to limited commercial service.
  • January 17 - The Walt Disney Company announced that they have dropped the Fox name on both 20th Century Fox and Fox Searchlight Pictures and were respectively renamed as 20th Century Studios and Searchlight Pictures. Its logos and fanfare were still kept intact.[14]
  • March 24 - Disney+ will launch in Austria, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Ireland, and Switzerland. For its launch in France, Canal+ would become the exclusive distributor for Disney+.
  • March 29 - Disney+ will launch in India, and will be released via the Hotstar streaming service. As part of its launch, it will be rebranded as Disney Plus Hotstar.
  • Summer - Disney+ will launch in Belgium, Portugal, Iceland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland.
