A Civil Action is a 1998 legal drama film directed and written by Steven Zaillian, based on the 1995 book by Jonathan Harr, which in turn was based on real events. It stars John Travolta, Robert Duvall, James Gandolfini, Dan Hedaya, John Lithgow, William H. Macy, Kathleen Quinlan, and Tony Shalhoub.
Synopsis[]
A lawyer takes on a case involving two companies that are indirectly responsible for the contamination of a small town's water supply. The results of the contamination included increased cases of leukemia and cancer.
