Plot[]
Professor Nimnul has invented a device to transmit himself across telephone wires, and uses it to steal scientific devices from guarded laboratories. A neglected Zipper discovers Nimnul in the act and is caught in the Modemizer with him, leading to two creatures out of The Fly.

- The episode is clearly a nod to the 1958 film The Fly.
- One scene features a teacher scolding a boy named Franz for writing a story about a man who wakes up as an insect, accusing him of reading too much Spider-Man, years before Disney would buy Marvel. The boy is a reference to Franz Kafka and the story is a nod to The Metamorphosis.
