"A Pet for Everyone" is the one-hundred and twenty-first episode of the Disney Jr. animated series Doc McStuffins. It premiered on November 23, 2018, and is the second episode in the fifth season.
Plot[]
Stuffy and Squibbles are playing with each other, as well as Lambie and Whispers. Doc and Hallie notice that Whispers likes to cuddle, like Lambie. Squibbles gets tied up due to her silliness, and Stuffy frees her. Hallie notices that Squibbles and Whispers are perfect for Stuffy and Lambie, respectively. Hallie decides to get a pet of her own. Doc, Lambie, and Chilly like the idea, with Doc stating that Hallie looks out for everyone and is really responsible, which are two of the most important things for a pet owner. Squibbles is letting papers run loose and Stuffy states that he's still working on being responsible. Whispers causes more of a mess, and Hallie realizes that having a pet isn't all fun and games. Although it can be a lot of work, it is worth it.
Logan the ice cream truck then arrives. Hallie tells her if she got a pet and it made a mess of everything. Chilly would not want to see the mess. Doc tells Hallie that she can find a pet to fit her personality, one that's sweet and sassy, and then they need to be trained. The Wicked King also states that Hallie can get a pet that starts out perfect right away. Doc tells him that Hallie is unsure of wanting a new pet or not. Logan is supportive although Hallie isn't sure if she is ready. The Wicked King mentions that pets are messy, slippery, slobbery, and like to roll around in dirt. After Globo arrives, the Wicked King announces that he has found a perfect way to create perfect pets. He invites Doc and the toys to the Perfectly Royal Perfect Pet Pavilion, which is where pets fit for a king or hippo are made. He briefly explains its availability times, and Hallie decides to check it out. Doc and the toys are supportive, and they all head over to the pavilion.
During the trip, Hallie wonders what pet she should get. Stuffy, Hallie, and Chilly discuss different possibilities for a pet when Logan spots a dog in the road and stops. Hallie decides to check the dog out, and Doc tells Chilly that only pets wear tags. The dog then runs away from Hallie, who tells Doc and the toys everything. They then head over to the pavilion, and Stuffy and Lambie like what they're seeing. The Wicked King states that Queen Amina is designing herself a new pet now. Amina decides to put the pet together with Doc and the toys watching.
First, Amina chooses the perfect parts for her pet cat. Chilly thinks it is scary, but Doc states to stay calm when the pet cat is made. Amina loves her cat, which she calls "Princess". The Wicked King states that Queen Amina is not easy to make happy. He tells Hallie that the pets are exactly what she's looking for, and states that before choosing a pet, Hallie needs to understand how messy pets can be at times.
Hallie wonders what pet is right for her, and Lambie states that there are a lot of choices. Doc tells Hallie to take a little time to think about it, and there's always tomorrow. Later, Hallie decides to stay at the Pet Rescue headquarters to clean up, which helps her think. Lambie tells her that she will figure it out. While cleaning, Hallie notices the lost dog, and decides to get him fixed up. However, the dog runs away again and later calls more pets that were roaming the streets of McStuffinsville. Hallie then calls the Pet Rescue Team, and Hallie tells them about the pets. Doc decides to give all of them check-ups at the Pet Rescue Headquarters. The team then brings all of the pets to Logan, and Lambie assumes that the dog was trying to help his friends the entire time.
Doc tells Hallie to give all of the pets names. Chilly goes over the different possibilities for names when Hallie decides to name the dog Oliver. While the toys clean up all of the toys, Doc will give them all check-ups. Later, Doc gives all of the pets a clean bill of health, although the rip in Oliver's ear couldn't be completely fixed, so Doc stitched it up so no stuffing can come out. Lambie likes those pets, although Chilly wonders what is next for them. Doc rules out the possibility of keeping the pets at headquarters forever. Stuffy decides to form an animal orchestra. However, Doc states that the pets need other toys to love them. She then decides to hold a pet adoption fair where everyone can come find the right pet for them. The other toys like the idea.
At the Pet Adoption Fair, Fabio is hoping to adopt a pet. Lambie tells him that the toys will find something when Stuffy arrives with a possibility of a lizard or a snake. Fabio likes a pet with lots of hair like his. Soon, many toys get pets that are perfect fits for them. Doc states that it's not what they look like on the outside, it's what on the inside that counts. Stuffy thanks Doc for the pet adoption fair, and states that there are a few pets left without owners. Doc decides to keep the remaining pets at Pet Rescue Headquarters until they're adopted.
The Wicked King arrives and after Chilly mentions it, decides to adopt a pet. Hallie decides to do the same, as she never forgot with all the chaos going on. Stuffy mentions everything when the Wicked King states that he will be closing the pavilion early this evening. Hallie decides to go with the Wicked King while the others watch the other pets. Hallie decides to pass, as she realized she may have already found one, Oliver. She goes to him when she realizes that Oliver is gone. Hallie apologizes, as Oliver thought she was leaving him to get a new pet at the pet pavilion. With dark arriving soon, Hallie decides to form a search party, which is Doc and the toys working together to find Oliver.
After some searching, Stuffy decides for the team to try everything. Hallie sings about regretting leaving Oliver behind to get her own pet. Doc states that the perfect pet for Hallie is the one she loves who loves her too. Hallie decides to keep searching until she finds Oliver. Stuffy then finds paw prints which belong to Oliver. The team then follows the prints, which led to the pet pavilion. Hallie finds Oliver inside. Doc decides for the Pet Rescue Team to rescue Oliver. Stuffy mentions an idea for a helicopter and rubbing ice on the skylight to make the glass contract so that the team could get in when he accidentally opens the door. A big shadow is shown, and Stuffy turns on the light to reveal that it is actually from Oliver. Stuffy chasses Oliver all over the pavilion, and the other toys try to catch her.
Hallie then presses buttons to make another pet. Doc and the toys try to catch Oliver, who escapes again. More buttons to make a pet are pressed by Oliver, who is then caught by the machine. The toys try to catch Oliver again, and a machine catches him and when he is dropped, Hallie catches him. Hallie was so busy worrying about finding the perfect pet that she didn't see Oliver was right in front of him the entire time. Later, the toys are playing with their perfect pets when the Wicked King arrives with a gift for the team: a pet that the Wicked King's Perfectly Royal Perfect Pet Creator made when it went on the fritz last night. Doc tells the Wicked King that with so many pets out there, he doesn't need to make new ones. The pets are all perfect in their own way, and there are toys who will love them, no matter what. Hallie adds that pets have lots of love to give in return. As for the pavilion, Doc states that McStuffinsville could use a pet adoption fair. She then tells the Wicked King to put cages and pet carriers where all the bins are, and the King agrees. The pet that was created then plays with the Wicked King, and Lambie states that there is a pet for everyone. While hugging Oliver, Hallie states that pets are perfect, no matter what.
