A Simple Twist of Fate is a 1994 comedy-drama film directed by Gillies MacKinnon from a script by Steve Martin based on the novel Silas Marner by George Eliot. The film stars Martin alongside Gabriel Byrne, Catherine O'Hara, and Stephen Baldwin.
Synopsis[]
A lonely divorced furniture maker's life is upended when a toddler wanders into his home during a winter storm. With no other option, he adopts the girl and forms a loving bond with her, but is threatened by the arrival of her biological father, a senator.
