"A Spell with No Name" is the second segment of the sixty-eighth episode of Star vs. the Forces of Evil. It premiered on April 14, 2019 alongside "Junkin' Janna", and is the second segment of the twelfth episode in the fourth season.
Plot
Star and Eclipsa's spells join forces in order to defeat a lethal spell that has gone rogue after two of them collide into one another.
Synopsis
As Star's spells sit down to have pancakes, Eclipsa's spells suddenly burst in and begin to break everything in search of something. Nightmare Dream blasts Spider with a Top Hat, causing him to lose his confidence and the spells kidnap Glow Worm and leave. Star's spells are horrified and they proceed to push Richard the Narwhal to go and get him back. He meets up with Eclipsa's spells who all try to tell him to go back, but he refuses. He realizes that the room he stays in is actually connected to other rooms belonging to the previous queens of Mewni and their spells as well. They use Glow Worm to find "The Spell with No Name", a small deadly butterfly creature that destroys everything in its path. When they fail to capture it, it flies through Hypnoslumber, killing him instantly.
Eclipsa's spells give Glow Worm back to Richard and move onto plan B: detonating a bomb that will destroy the entire dimension. Richard is furious at the decision until he realizes that he has echo location and therefore can see the spell without the use of Glow Worm. He leads the other spells and manages to blast it straight at them and into a pickle jar, the only thing that can hold the nameless spell. Richard returns Glow Worm back to the other spells who happily return to eating pancakes. They offer Eclipsa's spells a chance to join them, but they turn them down. As they leave, Richard looks at the Spell with No Name in fear.
