"A Surprise for Minnie" is the second episode of the first season of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. It originally aired on Playhouse Disney on May 6, 2006. In this episode, Mickey forgets it's Valentine's Day and has to make a card for Minnie.
Plot[]
At the Clubhouse, Goofy runs in to give Mickey a Valentine's Day gift. Mickey realizes that he forgot that today is Valentine's Day, Minnie's favorite holiday, and hastily gives Goofy an old boot for a gift, which he enthusiastically accepts. Mickey then decides to make a gift for Minnie as he goes to the Mousekedoer to pick up his Mouseketools: a pump, a box of crayons, a rose, and the Mystery Mouseketool.
Mickey heads over the Arts and Crafts Area and Donald soon arrives, also wanting to help Mickey make a gift for Minnie. Mickey calls Toodles for the box of crayons so he can make a card for Minnie. Donald also makes a card. Mickey and Donald then go to the roof to find Minnie, then use the telescope to find her hanging out with Daisy and Pluto near the fountain at the Flower Garden. Mickey and Donald then head to the garage so Mickey can drive his car to the Garden. However, along the way, Mickey's car gets a flat tire. Mickey searches the car for the spare tire but finds nothing useful. Mickey then calls Toodles for the pump so he can reinflate the tire.
Mickey and Donald arrive at the Garden but Pete stops them from entering, demanding a fee of 5 petals from each of them. Mickey calls Toodles for the rose and gives Pete all 10 rose petals, allowing himself and Donald entry. Mickey gives Minnie his card but Daisy starts to feel disappointed that Donald also forgot about Valentine's Day. Mickey secretly calls Toodles one last time for the Mystery Mouseketool: a ribbon. He makes a bow out of the ribbon and slides it to Donald, allowing him to give Daisy a Valentine's Day gift. Goofy comes crashing in and spills his Valentine's Day cards everywhere. Everyone then returns to the Clubhouse and does the Hot Dog Dance.

Trivia[]
- This episode usually airs during the month of February since Valentine's Day falls during that month.
- Most of the early elements from the previous episode are present here, except for the following:
- The design of the question mark used to represent the Mystery Mousketool changed as of this episode.
- There are now less dots on Toodles’s screensaver, though he shows up with more dots in the episode "Secret Spy Daisy".
- This is the first time that the Mystery Mouseketool was chosen last.
- This is the first episode to use the Silly Switch, the Anywhere Lever, and the Telescope, and the first episode to have the animation of the characters returning to the clubhouse before the Hot Dog Dance when the dance begins if they were not in the clubhouse at the time.
- This is the first episode in which Pete appears.
- This is the only episode where fireworks were not displayed after the last Mouseketool was chosen. However, fireworks were not displayed in "Space Adventure", because Mickey did not tell the viewers to say super cheers.
Goofs[]
- When Mickey says "You bet ya!" after he pulls up the Arts & Crafts area, his mouth does not move.
- When Goofy gives Mickey a heart-shaped cookie, the tops of the cookies are black instead of pink.
- When Mickey spots Minnie and Daisy through the telescope, Daisy is wearing her Little Bo-Peep outfit, which she wore in "Daisy Bo-Peep". However, when Mickey and Donald arrived at Mickey Park, Daisy is wearing her normal clothes.
- However, considering Mickey and Donald encountered Pete and were forced to pay him petals to enter the flower garden, Daisy most likely wore it as a disguise to trick Pete and avoid paying him petals.
