Aasif Mandvi is an Indian-American actor, voice actor, comedian, and writer who is known for his work as a correspondent on the Comedy Central late-night satirical program The Daily Show since 2006.

Aasif started his acting career at Walt Disney World as one of the Citizens of Hollywood at Disney MGM Studios when the park opened in 1989. He also worked at the Adventurers Club, an experience he would later state would inspire his performance as Uncle Monty in Netflix's adaptation of A Series of Unfortunate Events.

For Disney, he played Mohammed in the 1996 Hollywood Pictures film, Eddie, Bob Spaulding in the 2009 Touchstone Pictures film, The Proposal, and Ash Vasudevan in the 2014 biographical film, Million Dollar Arm. He also voiced Pirate Pharaoh in Jake and the Never Land Pirates. He currently voices King Raja in Elena of Avalor.
