"Acrobat Boris" is the first segment of the nineteenth episode of Vampirina. It premiered on June 15, 2018 alongside "The Lemonade Stand".
Plot[]
Demi and Vampirina are playing hide and seek when they hear a cat outside. It is the Black Cat Express, which gives Vampirina the Hauntleys' first mail from Transylvania since they moved. It is for Boris from his old bat buddies, the Acro-bats. Back in the day, Boris was a trick flier. He mentions everything they did at the time when he drops something. Demi picks it up and Boris reads it, realizing it is an invitation for him to join the Acro-bats for their next show. Although it has been a long time, Boris decides to give it a try.
He is then shown in a uniform and turns into a bat. He shows some tricks while telling Gregoria about it. Boris attempts the Supernatural Super Twist, but messes up and falls into a bush. He states that he needs practice to perfect it, as it has been a long time. Vampirina tells Boris to try again, which Boris agrees. He first tries the speed test, which is a success. Next is the bat dive. Demi demonstrates the ghost dive, which he messes up at. Boris does the bat dive perfectly. He attempts the Supernatural Super Twist again, but flies out of control and crashes into a bush.
He then considers taking a break from training. Vampirina tells Demi and Gregoria that Boris can't give up, and she knows he can do it with a little more practice. Vampirina them meets up with Boris, who thinks he won't make it to the show this year. She then tells Demi to get the letter before the Black Cat Express takes it away to the other Acro-bats. Demi will get the letter while Vampirina tells Boris, who decides to hang up his trick flying wings, how spook-tacular it would be to fly with the Acro-bats again, and that he is the best flier she knows. Vampirina then recaps how hard flying was for her in the beginning, and Boris knows it. Vampirina then sings about it and Boris knowing that he'll do the same thing as she believes in him. Vampirina then gets Boris' first pair of flying goggles, and Boris decides to teach her some easy tricks.
Eventually, after learning and mastering some tricks, like the Franken-flutter, the Spider Swivel, and the basic bat twist (which Boris shows as the Supernatural Super Twist), Boris states that the training paid off. Boris and Vampirina were having so much fun that Boris wasn't thinking about the training. Thanks to Vampirina, Boris is now the best Acro-bat in Transylvania and Pennsylvania. As he wishes he didn't send his reply to the Acro-bats so soon, Demi returns with the invitation. Boris thanks Vampirina for all her help. Vampirina calls Boris the best flier she knows, and the best dad in the whole world.
