Afterlife with Archie is an upcoming horror-drama series based on the comic book of the same name by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Francesco Francavilla published by Archie Comics. Aguirre-Sacasa executive produces the series which is expected to premiere on Disney+.

Synopsis

The series sees the familiar characters from Riverdale finding themselves in a post-apocalyptic zombie setting.

Production

The series was first announced October 1, 2025, with it being revealed that Disney+ would distribute the series. Some sources suggested that the success of Alien: Earth and Marvel Zombies contributed to the series getting picked up.

• This series is a co-production between Disney, the distributor, and Warner Bros., the production company.
• Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Greg Berlanti previously produced the Archie Comics influenced television shows Riverdale and The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
