Aladdin's Royal Caravan was a parade based on Aladdin that ran at Disney's Hollywood Studios, Disneyland, and Disneyland Park (Paris). Every float featured the Genie. It featured a Bathtub Genie, a Split-In-Two Genie, and a 32 feet tall Genie.
Versions[]
Disney's Hollywood Studios[]
The spitting camel floats would be re-purposed and utilized as decoration at the Soundstage Restaurant. They would eventually find a home in front of the Magic Carpets of Aladdin, also the 32 foot tall Genie was recycled into Disney's Magical Moments Parade at Magic Kingdom.
Disneyland[]
This was the first in a series of parades that tied into the latest animated Walt Disney theatrical releases. This comical parade reenacted the parade of Prince Ali featured in the film Aladdin.
Disneyland Paris[]
The parade was briefly introduced in 1993 under the name La Parade d'Aladdin. After it’s run, the float was added to the Disney Classics Parade and later The Wonderful World of Disney Parade.
Trivia[]
- The parade would appear on an episode of the sitcom Full House, "The House Meets The Mouse", as a contest where the guest who makes Genie appear by rubbing the lamp will become "Prince or Princess of the Day", with Scott Weinger's character, Steve, actually dressing as Aladdin in the sequence.
