Alex Russo's Locket is an item featured in the Disney Channel original series, Wizards Beyond Waverly Place. It is used by Alex and holds the magical memory that Billie is her daughter. Alex then gives Billie the necklace before she pushes Lord Morsus through the portal.

The locket is gold and round shaped that is enchanted to hold magical memories that the wearer has sealed inside.
History[]
The locket is first seen in the season 2 episode "The Wizard at the End of the World: Part One", when Alex finds it in her apartment as she tries to recall why the name Penwolf is so important to her. She finds the necklace and puts it on but nothing happens, although she keeps it around her neck beyond this. Then in part 2, the locket is activated when Alex sheds a tear over seeing Billie using her magic for the evil Lord Morsus. The tear opens the locket and reveals a secret memory.
In the memory, it is revealed that Billie is Alex's daughter, but they have to be separated, because Billie's grandfather, Lord Morsus is after Billie's magic. Knowing this is the only way to protect her daughter, Alex casts a memory spell on her, Billie and her brother Justin Russo, so they have no idea they are related and the memory is then sealed inside the locket.
In the present day, the spell wears off and everyone gets their memories back, including Lord Morsus who is revealed to be Billie's grandfather, and his son and Alex's husband Damian Pennwolf, decided to send Billie away to protect her from her grandfather. After the rift is opened and Billie decides to close the portal from the inside, Alex tells her daughter no and takes off the necklace. Handing Billie the locket, Alex promises her they will find each other again before pushing her father-in-law into the portal, which closes, making it unclear if Alex and Morsus survived.
Trivia[]
- This is the second enchanted necklace Alex was given after the one Mason Greyback gave her in "Wizards vs. Werewolves".
- The finale reveals that Alex kept the memories that Billie is her daughter, in the locket and the connection within the family, in the locket.
- It can only be opened with a tear from Alex.
- The fact that the locket can only be opened by a tear is similar to Tangled, where Rapunzel's tear held magical properties and could heal Flynn Rider.
