Alfonso Tiberio Cuarón Orozco is a Mexican filmmaker. He owns the film studio Esperanto Filmoj which produces all of his films. He made numerous short films before producing his first major feature film Sólo con tu pareja. He followed this up with further films, such as A Little Princess, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Children of Men, Gravity, and Roma. He was involved in the productions of Crónicas, The Assassination of Richard Nixon, Pan's Labyrinth, Desierto, and The Witches.
For Disney, he produced a trilogy of holiday shorts Le Pupille, The Shepherd, and An Almost Christmas Story. He also directed a couple of films for 20th Century Fox, including Great Expectations and Y tu mamá también.
