Alford Abbey is an abbey and the home of Friar Tuck and his dog in The Story of Robin Hood and His Merrie Men. It is located in Nottingham, England.

In the film[]

It is in this place, as mentioned by Little John, where Friar Tuck lives with his dog and spends most of his time singing, eating, and drinking until he meets, messes, and duels with Robin Hood until they are ambushed and manage to defeat the Sheriff of Nottingham and his men with the help of Robin's band of outlaws known as Merrie Men and the Friar's dog.

Two years later, after King Richard's Crusade has ended in failure and King Richard finds himself imprisoned in Austria to be held for a ransom of 100,000 marks, it is at the abbey where Friar Tuck and Robin Hood escort Maid Marian to have shelter for the night in order to return to Nottingham Castle the next day with Robin and his men's donations for King Richard's safe return to England.
