"Alice Comes To Her Senses" is the second segment of the fiftieth and final episode of Alice's Wonderland Bakery. It premiered on April 15, 2024 alongside "Clever Clover" and is the second segment of the twenty-fifth episode of season two and the second segment of the series finale.
Synopsis[]
Alice must learn to trust her five senses when she creates a culinary calamity during a baking class.
Plot[]
Jacques compliments Alice for her greenhouse, and he has come for her masterclass. Jacques will teach Alice the recipe for Anything Grows Casseroles. They start with the five senses, which Alice knows of. When Jacques cooks, he uses his senses to immerse himself in the recipe, which he recaps, those being Sweet and Sour Fiddlestick Ferns (taste), Fourteen Karat Carrots (seeing), Giant Bounceberries (touch), Hint O'Mint (smell), and Wind Chives (hearing).
Later, Alice is delighted of the casseroles, and Jacques mentions that what makes a dish delicious is when a chef follows senses. One final step is that the anything goes part of the Anything Grows Casseroles is whatever one wishes, which is always different. The dishes will be topped with Golden Afternoon Onions, and Alice likes the smell. The recipe is hers to teach her students, as it is time for Alice to be the teacher. She should just trust her senses.
Alice is ready for class and comes across Rosa, Hattie, Fergie, and Jacques. He mentions that yesterday was the day for Anything Grows Casseroles for him, and today is the day for Anything Grows Casseroles for Alice. She is very nervous, but still teaches the class how to make them. For baking, the first ingredient fires up their sense of taste, Sweet Fiddlesticks. Alice wonders if it was as sweet as it was before. The others try it to different senses, and Alice decides to use hers before coming back to them later.
Next up is the Fourteen Karat Carrots, but the ones Alice picks aren't as bright as the ones Jacques picked. She doesn't know which one to choose, and next up is the Giant Bounceberries. Hattie crashes into the Sock Squash and Alice knows it isn't as bouncy as the one Jacques used. Next up is Hint O'Mint, which also doesn't contain the right scent as Jacques picked. As for the Wind Chives, they contain the same result. Fergie strums them and trips on a Giant Bouncberries, leading to popcorn from the corn popping all over and melting the Ice Pop Stalactites. Alice mentions the mess she made with her five senses, and Jacques tells her about using her senses.
Alice has to believe in herself, and picks a Wind Chive which sounds perfect to her. However, with everything topsy turvy, Alice wonders if she should keep going. With everyone's motivation, she picks the right Fiddlestick Fern, Fourteen Karat Carrot, Giant Bounceberry, and Hint O'Mint. Everyone then bakes the Anything Grows Casseroles and they are yummier than the ones from yesterday. Alice mentions the last ingredient, and she tells Jacques that learning from him and teaching his recipe was a dream come true. So, she picks shooting star fruit, and she mentions what it does according to her senses. Everyone then loves the casseroles, and Alice has become the master of flavor, and she thanks Jacques for reminding her to believe in herself.
