On November 27, 2023, Deadline reported that Timothy Olyphant joined the cast in a major role, playing Kirsh, a synth who acts as a mentor and trainer for Wendy who is a hybrid, a meta-human who has the brain and consciousness of a child but the body of an adult.[6]

Trivia[]
- The series takes place before Alien and ignores the events of Prometheus and, by proxy, Alien: Covenant. Noah Hawley felt that both films were "inherently less useful" as he wrote the series and even discussed it with Ridley Scott.[11]
