Production[]

On August 28, 2023, Deadline reported that Kit Young, Alex Lawther, Samuel Blenkin, Essie Davis, and Adarsh Gourav joined the cast of the series as CJ, Boy Kavalier, Dame Silvia, and Slightly respectively, and that the series halted filming due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike in Bangkok, Thailand.[6]

On November 8, 2023, in an interview with The Wrap, Noah Hawley revealed that the series is aiming to premiere in early 2025, with filming hoping to resume in February 2024.[10]

On November 27, 2023, Deadline reported that Timothy Olyphant joined the cast in a major role, playing Kirsh, a synth who acts as a mentor and trainer for Wendy who is a hybrid, a meta-human who has the brain and consciousness of a child but the body of an adult.[7]

On November 28, 2023, Deadline reported that David Rysdahl joined the cast in an undisclosed role.[8]

Filming wrapped on July 17, 2024.[11]

Trivia[]

  • The series takes place before Alien and ignores the events of Prometheus and, by proxy, Alien: Covenant. Noah Hawley felt that both films were "inherently less useful" as he wrote the series and even discussed it with Ridley Scott.[12]
