- Billy: "Halloween's a magical holiday. All about family, friends, and the thrill of getting to be someone else for a day."
- Tommy: "Wrong! Halloween's about candy. And scaring people, but mostly candy."
- ―Billy and Tommy Maximoff
"All-New Halloween Spooktacular!" is the sixth episode of the Disney+ streaming television miniseries WandaVision and was released on February 12, 2021. It was written by Chuck Hayward & Peter Cameron and directed by Matt Shakman.
Synopsis[]
Disturbances on Halloween separate Wanda from Vision, who looks into anomalous activity in Westview.
Plot[]
The setting is now the late 90s early 2000s with Pietro now living with the family, though according to Billy, he is a complete "man-child". It is Halloween and the family is preparing to go out for the night. However, Vision informs Wanda that he is joining the neighborhood watch to prevent any vandalism. Pietro steps up to take his place in handling the kids; showing favoritism towards Tommy due to them sharing similar personalities. Throughout the night, Pietro seems to be totally aware of Wanda's secret and openly confronts her about it.
Back at the S.W.O.R.D. base, Hayward announces his intent to attack Westview full force. When Monica, Woo, and Darcy resist, he has them removed from the premises. They manage to overpower some agents and sneak back in to collect data. Pietro, Billy and Tommy are causing a ruckus all around town, much to Wanda's consternation. When she asks Herb about Vision, he claims that he is not on duty, confusing her. Vision has in fact been wandering the outskirts of town where he notices that the neighbors are much more lucid and eventually reaches a point where they are not moving at all.
A commercial appears in a stop motion animated short about a yogurt called "Yo-Magic: The Snack for Survivors!". A shark splashes out of the water on a surfboard, and gives a young boy stranded on an island some Yo-Magic yogurt. The kid tries to open it, but has no luck and eventually disintegrates into a skeleton.
Vision runs into Agnes and awakens her where she is aware that he is an Avenger, which Vision is oblivious to, before she begins rambling. Back at base, Darcy learns that not only has Hayward kept track of all the residents, but that Monica's bloodwork reveals that her molecules are rearranging. Nevertheless, Monica and Woo decide to steal a car while Darcy stays behind to keep track of Vision who is getting closer to the barrier. As Tommy realizes that he has super speed, Pietro reveals to Wanda that he remembers dying, but that he is alive now and wants to help Wanda, who briefly sees his corpse.
Vision makes it to the edge of town and breaks through the barrier, but begins breaking down in front of the S.W.O.R.D. agents. Billy's powers awaken and he senses that he is in trouble and warns Wanda. Angered, Wanda freezes everyone and expands the Hex to rescue Vision. As it expands, Darcy is absorbed into it as are numerous S.W.O.R.D. agents who become clowns with the base turning into a circus. Hayward and a couple of agents manage to outrun it while Monica and Woo also flee from the expansion. Wanda is in full control.

Trivia[]
- The set up as a single camera comedy takes inspiration from Malcolm in the Middle.
- Jimmy Woo displays some fighting prowess. In the comics, Woo was a highly adapt and skilled martial artist.
- The characters dress in their comic book accurate costumes with Wanda and Vision explaining that their outfits are a Sokovian fortune teller and a Mexican wrestler, respectively. Additionally, Wanda and Pietro's costumes as children resemble Black Widow and Nick Fury.
- Wanda's costume foreshadows her receiving a more comic-accurate costume in the finale.
- The cinema marquee displays the film titles The Incredibles and The Parent Trap. This could be seen as fitting as the first film deals with a family of superheroes while the second film deals with twins. Both films' release years match the episode’s late-1990s/early-2000s setting.
- Pietro utters the word "kick-ass", which Wanda repeats with curiosity. Kick-Ass is also the name of a movie in which both actors for Pietro, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Evan Peters, starred in together. Director Matt Shakman admitted that the reference was unintentional.[1]
- This is the second time Wanda sees a vision of the corpse of a loved one, the first time being in episode 4 when she saw Vision's corpse from Avengers: Infinity War.
- When Billy senses that Vision is in danger, Pietro comments that it's not as though Vision can die twice. However, Vision has already been killed twice, first by Wanda's hand and then by Thanos, in Avengers: Infinity War. So, if he was speaking literally this would have been the third time.
- There is a road in Westview called "Ellis Avenue". Ellis was the surname of the US President in Iron Man 3.
- Pietro shouts to Billy and Tommy "unleash hell, demon spawn" when they trick or treat. A subtle nod to the comics where they were originally fragments of Mephisto's soul.
- Pietro and Tommy reference the film Top Gun when they say "I feel the need...." "The need for speed", said by Maverick and Goose. It is also the second time the MCU has referenced Top Gun, the first time being in Captain Marvel with the cat being named Goose, the name of Maverick's best friend.
- Pietro saying "It's a pretty big leap from giving people nightmares and shooting red wiggly-woos out your hands", to Wanda is a reference to Avengers: Age of Ultron, when she gave the Avengers illusions.
- This is the only commercial in the series, not to feature the Commercial Man and Commercial Woman.
- The title is heard in TV spots used for whenever a string of sitcoms all air a Halloween episode for the season.
