The Alligators are characters created for the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction which first opened at Disneyland in 1967. They were displayed in the Blue Bayou scene.

In the Disneyland and Tokyo Disneyland version of the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction, they are seen in the Blue Bayou where guests are passing through the swamps of the Blue Bayou before entering into the tunnel.
In the first level of the Pirates of the Caribbean game "Down the Bayou", they can be seen trying to attack you, as you are rowing the boat into the Blue Bayou with Black Barty. But you can avoid the alligators by hitting them with a paddle oar.
In the second level of the Splash Mountain game "Laughing Place", they can be seen trying to attack you, as you are passing through the section where the Fishermen Geese can be seen with Br'er Rabbit. But you can avoid the alligators by hitting them with a paddle oar.
