Alma's Village was a location in the film Encanto. It is where Alma Madrigal and her husband Pedro Madrigal used to live before being forced to vacate on account of how the village was destroyed by soldiers and Pedro dying at the hands of the soldiers.
Background[]
Years ago, Alma used to live peacefully in her previous village where during a celebration, she met, fell in love with, and then married a man named Pedro Madrigal. Together, they lived in a humble home and had triplets, son Bruno and daughters Julieta and Pepa.
However, their village soon came under attack by four armed soldiers on horseback. The Madrigal Family and a majority of the village inhabitants then decided to leave through the forest near the village. However, the soldiers soon followed them and tried to attack, but Pedro managed to hold them off (at the cost of his life) long enough for Alma to be blessed with a magical candle that both forces the horseman to be blown back and have Alma and the villagers be sealed off from the world by moving the mountains so that Alma and her community can live in peace, and this is where the location of Encanto was made.
