"Almost There" is a musical number featured in the 2009 Disney animated feature film, The Princess and the Frog. The song was sung by Anika Noni Rose as Tiana. During the song sequence, the animation shifts to the same art deco style used in Tiana's picture of her dream restaurant and shows her doing different tasks, such as signing a menu, mincing very fast, adding whipped cream to desserts, and wiping a small boy's mouth.
The music was composed by Randy Newman and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Song.
The song is later reprised when Tiana becomes depressed because she is in danger of losing the mill to her restaurant to a higher bidder (possibly the Shadow Man). She then makes a wish on the evening star and meets Prince Naveen.
