Alpine Gardens was a garden attraction located at Tomorrowland in Disneyland.
History[]
This garden became the site of the former House of the Future area which ran from 1957 to 1995. Following the closure of House of the Future, the space located on the former area was transformed into an attraction called "Alpine Gardens" in order to accompany the Matterhorn attraction located at Fantasyland.
In the 1970s, Disney made plans to increase attendance into the gardens by planning a restaurant with a stage for live performances. However, the plans for this restaurant were scrapped, resulting the restaurant to be cancelled. The Alpine Gardens became a peaceful rest area until the garden space permanently closed in 1995 to make way for a minor transformation known as Triton Gardens which opened in 1996.
Summary[]
