Amigo to the Rescue was an interactive "Appisode" exclusively for iOS tablet devices. It was an interactive game that combined an episode and gameplay throughout it where players must interact with the screen.
As of March 14, 2020, the game was discontinued from the App Store. Those who have downloaded this game via said deadline will still be able to play it prior to the discontinuation.
Synopsis[]
Amigo is a dog, who always tries his best to help animals in trouble. One day, when protecting his feline friend Miss Whiskers, the two hide inside a pet fair, where they are adopted by Lady A, who then gives him C.O.L.L.A.R. (Computerized Online Life Like Assistant Robot), who helps Amigo on his missions to help other animals.
Gameplay[]
Like interactive Disney Junior "Appisodes", the game used an episode plot and throughout gameplay. As the episode's plot started, the player was tasked to interact with the screen throughout the entire game such as tapping the object what the characters say.
Notes[]
- In the pilot episode, Amigo barks, "Squirrel!" to distract a street dog. This is possibly an homage to the Disney/Pixar film Up, where Charles F. Muntz's dogs would get distracted, when they think they see a squirrel.
