Andy is a supporting character in the 2024 sci-fi horror film Alien: Romulus. He is a synthetic human and "brother" of Rain Carradine whom he cares for.
Despite being a synthezoid, Andy is actually very jovial, in a calm, yet inhuman way. Andy looks to please others, especially Rain Carradine, as that was what he was designed for, and has a penchant for telling simplistic dad jokes. While it's obvious that his feelings can be hurt, especially by the robophobic Bjorn, he is capable of remaining stoic against the harshest of people. Upon getting the Weyland-Yutani chip, he becomes cold and calculating, refusing to aid people based on their survivability rate and losing his empathy. Luckily, he is restored to his old self by Rain, whom he cares a great deal about.
Trivia[]
Andy utters the famous line, "Get away from her, you bitch!" which was initially said by Ellen Ripley in Aliens. Ironically, that film takes place after Alien: Romulus.
