Angus is a minor character and Jack's fellow lamplighter who first engages in the "leerie speak" with him in the film Mary Poppins Returns.
Background
Tarik Frimpong makes his feature film debut as Angus in the film. As an Australian actor, singer, and dancer based in London, he was born in Melbourne. Tarik trained from a young age at his mother's performing arts school "Dance Explosion".
Role in the film
Angus is first seen during the musical number "Trip a Little Light Fantastic" where he dances alongside a whole chorus line of lamplighters led by Jack. Furthermore, he plays an important role toward the end of the film when the Banks family, along with the help from Mary, tries to stop William Weatherall Wilkins just as he helps Jack stop Big Ben from striking midnight to which the plan was successful, foiling Wilkins' plan. He later appears at the end of the film playing a ring toss game and later having fun with a balloon alongside everyone else during the musical number "Nowhere to Go But Up".
