"Annoying, Freaky, Cool" is the second segment of the forty-seventh episode of the Disney Channel animated series Kiff.
Synopsis[]
Kiff worries that she's annoying.
Plot[]
On the Table Town Middle School playground, Kiff and Barry meet up with Trevor, Renée, and Candle, who are playing "Annoying, Freaky, Cool", a game where players select three random people and classify them as annoying, freaky, or cool. Kiff joins the game and is tasked with classifying Miss Deer Teacher, Secretary Prince, and Mr. RiPeppa, but she is reluctant to call any of them annoying. Candle tells Kiff that doing so is alright in the context of the game, pointing out that Billiam called Kiff annoying in a previous round just a few minutes earlier. Kiff is stunned speechless by this revelation.
During lunch, Kiff is unable to stop thinking about Billiam calling her annoying. Barry tries to cheer her up by pointing out that Billiam only called her annoying based on limited options, but instead of heeding Barry's advice to move on from the situation, Kiff decides to ask who the other two people classified by Billiam were. They turn out to be Glarbin and a member of the famously annoying Five Pigeons of the Acapellapocalypse, Mystery Lad. Incensed even more, Kiff confronts Billiam, who tells her that he only finds her annoying sometimes. Pressed further by Kiff, Billiam points out times in the past when she did things he found annoying, such as chipperly singing a song in his face in the hallway, talking in a movie theater, reminding Miss Deer Teacher about homework at the end of the school day, and her current questioning of him about her being annoying.
Stung by her conversation with Billiam, Kiff resolves to never again be chipper, chatty, "goodie-goodie", or curious, resulting in her doing uncharacteristic things like not smiling in a selfie with Darryn and not holding the door open for Kim. Later at Pawva's Java, Kiff tries to place an order by silently pointing at the large wall menu instead of simply telling Pawva what drink she wants, resulting in her holding up the line and annoying the customers behind her. Kiff leaves upset, finding that she annoys people no matter what she does. Seeing that the Five Pigeons of the Acapellapocalypse's reality show The 5 Jerks! is seeking a new annoying castmate, Kiff calls up Roy Fox to ask to join the show, and Roy hires her on the grounds that she annoyed him by calling him up at work.
Kiff packs her belongings in a bindle, intending to run away from home and move into the Five Pigeons of the Acapellapocalypse's mansion. On the way to the mansion, she ends up in the same tram car as Billiam, who calls her bindle "pretty cool". After mentioning that they are traveling over Foreverangees National Park, Kiff apologizes for being a know-it-all, but Billiam does not mind, commenting that the Foreverangees are "freaky" and that Kiff is "kinda freaky too". Kiff then points out that Billiam has now called her annoying, freaky, and cool. Billiam notes that he constantly changes his mind, and that some people find that annoying about him, which does not bother him. Hearing this, Kiff has a silent epiphany and chooses not to disembark when the tram reaches the transfer to the Pigeons' mansion.
Kiff and Billiam both disembark at the tram station across Table Town Middle School. Kiff states that she now sees that everybody is a little annoying, a little freaky, and a little cool. Billiam simply replies "probably," then goes off on his own way, but briefly stops to look back at Kiff, giving her an approving nod. Kiff meets back up with Barry, Trevor, Renée, and Candle in the playground and declares that she is finally ready to play Annoying, Freaky, Cool. Candle then tells Kiff that her emotional meltdown has made them realize that the game is mean, though Barry correctly deduces that Candle soured on the game after also being called annoying. The children decide to play a different game called "Down by the Bramble Bushes" instead. Watching them from the faculty lounge, Miss Deer Teacher, Secretary Prince, and Mr. RiPeppa begin to play their own game of Annoying, Freaky, Cool.
