Sir Philip Anthony Hopkins, CBE is a Welsh film, actor, director and producer who is considered to be one of the greatest living actors. He is well known for his role as serial killer Hannibal Lecter in the 1991 thriller film The Silence of the Lambs, for which he won an Academy Award for Best Actor, its 2001 sequel Hannibal, and its 2002 prequel Red Dragon.

For Disney, he played former U.S. President Richard Nixon in the 1995 Hollywood Pictures film Nixon, for which he was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor, Officer Gaylord Oakes in the 2002 Touchstone Pictures film Bad Company and Odin in the Marvel films Thor and its sequels, Thor: The Dark World and Thor: Ragnarok.
