"Arctic Exposure" is the one hundred twenty-seventh episode of Doc McStuffins. It premiered on November 30, 2019 and is the eighth episode in the fifth season.
Revel the penguin is searching for Scarlet, while in a snow area, Doc and her toys are skiing. However, Chilly is having too much fun to stop, and that is where Revel joins in. Chilly is okay, as well as Revel, who then finds Scarlet, who introduces everyone to the penguin from the Toyarctic. Scarlet states that all kinds of toys live in the Toyarctic. They don't go to far places very much. Revel had to take three sleds, a boat, and an ice cream truck to get there. Revel traveled because back home, Scarlet's dad fell off his sled and got hurt. He is the best sled rider Scarlet knows. Doc tells Scarlet that he won't be broken forever, but only until he gets help. When toys get broken in the Toyarctic, it's hard for them to get fixed. Doc decides for her and her toys to bring the hospital to Scarlet's dad, in other words, they will go to the Toyarctic and set up a field hospital there like in the jungle. When Doc is not around, there is plenty of hospital staff to help out. Doc vows to travel through snow, ice, and bone-chilling winds to help Scarlet's dad, as helping toys is what she and her toys do. Hallie, Stuffy, Lambie, and Chilly decide to go along, as well.
Before taking the boat to the Toyarctic, toys need to cover the shifts at the hospital, and Doc and her toys need to make sure they have supplies and pack warm clothes. Also, they will tell their patients they will be gone for a while. After saying goodbye to patients and putting on warm clothes, Doc and her toys leave the hospital and take a boat to the Toyarctic. Revel introduces them to Captain Snee. The boat then leaves for the Toyarctic. Once there, Revel likes it, but Doc and her toys are noticing the cold temperature. The boat then hits ice, and Snee decides to go back. Stuffy is nervous, but Doc and Revel motivate him and Chilly that they will love the Toyarctic.
Doc and the toys use ice skates the rest of the way while Scarlet rides a sled. Revel shows everyone the great Toyarctic glacier. Doc and her toys love what they're seeing. Revel shows everyone Tiny the polar bear taking a walk. As everyone continues their journey, Stuffy is getting the hang of ice skating when he lands on snow. That means they've reached land. Next, it's a walk to Scarlet's village. Lambie is freezing, but Doc tells her to not give up. However, the snow is getting deeper and Lambie can't walk. Doc gets her out and motivates Lambie. The toys will need a lot of Tender Lambie Care. The journey continues, and Stuffy realizes he forgot to pack ice shoes like Doc asked him to.
Stuffy eventually goes on snowshoes when wolves howl. Chilly tried to hide but went into them, which Scarlet mentions them as Bootsie and his brother Collins. Bootsie has a loose leg joint and Collins has a hanging fang. Doc gives them checkups, although a blizzard is coming. Collins has "Broken-fang-atosis" and Bootsie has "Loose-leg-aplexy". Hallie puts them into the Big Book of Boo Boos. With the storm getting closer, Doc and Hallie will work on Bootsie while Stuffy and Lambie work on Collins. Both wolves eventually go back to normal. They howl, which is their way of saying thank you. The blizzard then blows away the tent. Everyone then tries to go to the cave just as the storm hits by holding hands. They eventually make it and Doc thanks Scarlet and Blanco for the help.
Hallie and Lambie are still unsure if they can make it, but Doc reassures them that they will make it if they stick together. The Toyarctic toys need Doc and her toys. Lambie then sees the cave blocked off by snow. Stuffy attempts to dig it out but gets snow all over him. Although the trip has been hard, Doc and her toys need to try to help Scarlet's dad. They need to stick together and keep each other going while keeping themselves warm. This motivates the toys, and Scarlet notices the blizzard over. Only the wolves can dig from the outside, and Doc calls them to dig everyone out. Everyone howls to no avail, and they decide to use icicles to make the sound louder. It works, as the wolves arrive and open the cave.
With everyone out, they see one big mountain in front of them. Blanco tries to pull the sled up it to no avail. Everyone helps and eventually makes it to the top. The sled then goes down the mountain, and everyone rides to Revel's village. Chilly likes the village, and everyone heads to Scarlet's home to find her dad, Azuro. All he suffered was a little accident. Scarlet introduces him to Doc and the toys, who explain what they do. Azuro thanks everyone for coming, and Doc gives him a checkup. His left leg is fractured, which Doc calls "fractured-leg-atitis". Doc then puts wood glue and a bandage on the left leg, and Azuro is back to normal. Doc then gives Azuro some crutches, and he thanks her for all the help, and he feels so much better. Scarlet thanks Doc and her toys for the help, and Azuro thanks her for never letting him down.
The toys state it was right to not quit when Tiny arrives and gets introduced to Doc. Tiny is flat on one side and a walrus' fin needs to be reattached. More toys then wait in line needing to be fixed. Doc and her toys set them up in a nearby building to give them checkups.
