"Are We There Yet?" is the second segment of the twenty-second upcoming episode of Ariel. It was first made available on Disney+ on March 12, 2025 alongside "A Magical Achoo!" before making its television premiere on April 11, 2025.[1]
Plot[]
Flounder, Alanna, and Ayanna meet King Triton for a road trip to Crystal Falls, and Ariel is ready. Although it will take a long time to get to Crystal Falls, Triton promises Ariel they'll have fun along the way. The ride then begins, and they soon make it to Calypso Current, which will take them to Crystal Falls. They are delighted about the different sights while Ariel shows Flounder a picture of Crystal Falls. Triton tells Ariel they won't get there for a while and they'll make a few fun stops along the way. They are Jet Stream Park and the Gilly Gardens for lunch. Ariel is impatient to get to Crystal Falls, but Triton tells her part of the fun of a long road trip is all the cool things she and her friends get to see and do along the way. Triton tells them that if they rush through things, they'll miss out on a lot of fun, and they should enjoy the ride.
Ariel and her friends look at the different scenery during the ride and are delighted. Ariel tells Triton to head to Jet Stream Park. Once there, Ariel decides to stay behind to go to Crystal Falls before joining the others. Alanna, Ayanna, and Flounder ride the jet streams when Ariel stays behind, but after Triton tells her, she is about to go on the jet stream slides when they close for the day.
Triton then takes Ariel and her friends to the Gilly Gardens. Alanna and Ayanna recap how great the jet streams were when Ariel looks at the map to Crystal Falls. At the Gilly Gardens, everyone likes the snacks while Ariel is bored. She wonders if there are more stops, and Triton tells her it is the last stop before Crystal Falls. Ariel then rushes through her food, but Triton tells her they'll leave once everyone's finished. Flounder then brings dessert, to the dismay of Ariel.
Later during the trip, Triton tells Ariel that they've arrived at Crystal Falls, and when Triton leads them into a hole, that's where Crystal Falls is revealed. Ariel and Flounder are delighted to see the rainbow, followed by Alanna, Ayanna, and Triton. Delfino then shows up, as he came to see the Crystal Falls with his family. Delfino mentions the stops he took to get there, and Ariel swims away. She tells Triton that her friends talked about the fun stuff they did along the way, unlike Ariel, who wishes she did. Ariel apologizes for rushing through the stops and not being a good road trip partner to anyone.
Triton thanks Ariel for understanding why it's important to slow down and enjoy the family time along the way. They then sit to enjoy the waterfall together. Ariel and Triton will make stops on the way home, and Ariel promises to not rush through any of it so that she doesn't miss out on the fun. Everyone then enjoys the view of the waterfall.
