Synopsis[]
Gregoria preps for an art galler-eek! show at the Monstropolitan Museum of Art.
Plot[]
Vampirina greets Poppy and reveals that she is modeling for one of Gregoria's sculptures. Gregoria decides on its name when Demi shows up, wanting to help. He was painted by Vincent Van Grr and Pumpkin Picasso. Vampirina reveals that Gregoria was invited to the Monstropolitan Art Museum, which displays the most spooktacular art in Transylvania. Poppy loves all of the art at the Scare B&B. Poppy has her own style, which is what Vampirina loves about her paintings. Gregoria tells Poppy to come to the art show and display her paintings next to her statues. Vampirina decides to help, and she and Poppy are ready to paint.
They make paintings of Edgar, Chef Remy Bones, Vampirina and Bridget performing, and Demi. Poppy tells Demi that it is supposed to be a still life, and she agrees on a moving ghost. Soon, everyone is ready to leave for the museum, and Oxana and Boris load up Gregoria's statues. Oxana is excited for Vampirina and Poppy heading to the museum, and Boris likes Poppy's paintings. Once they arrive at the museum, Gregoria reveals the statue. She mentions that she used magical moonstone to make them sparkle. Oxana and Boris decide to take a look around the museum while Vampirina and Poppy set up.
Poppy is unsure if it was a good idea, and Vampirina assures her that she'll feel better once they hang the paintings up. Vampirina has some spooky frames, and in a short while, Poppy's galler-eek will be complete. So far, Poppy likes her paintings, and when the museum opens, the monsters judge the paintings they see. However, no one is coming to look at Poppy's paintings, but Vampirina and Gregoria like them just the way they are. Gregoria mentions that new artists like Poppy have a hard time getting started, because no one knows her yet. Vampirina decides to tell the visitors about Poppy. A gargoyle then heads to Gregoria, stating he is a big fan of her work.
Poppy has been sitting at the same spot in case someone sees her paintings. She can't compete with the magical stuff, but Demi mentions that what makes art ghoultastic is the subject Poppy paints. She then gets an idea to use Vampirina's spell book to make her paintings more interesting. Poppy finds a spell, and recites it so that her paintings are like the others in the museum. However, they go away, which everyone in the museum notices. All of the paintings then fly all over the museum, forming a monster. Poppy tells everyone what happened regarding her paintings, and why she wanted to change the art. Oxana and Boris will try to stop the art monster from destroying anything else while Vampirina and Gregoria figure out a spell to fix everything.
Vampirina finds a way to save the museum and make Poppy's art a master piece. With Oxana and Boris having no luck in stopping the monster, Vampirina recites the spell to make each painting be placed in their original locations. Poppy apologizes for creating a giant art monster, as she was trying to make her paintings more interesting. Poppy looks at her paintings, but they are not magical masterpieces. Vampirina tells her that Poppy's paintings are already masterpieces, and mentions that they key to making art is painting from the heart. The visitors then arrive and praise the paintings. Poppy loves everything she painted and thanks Vampirina. She decides to keep making art Poppy-style, and Vampirina decides to bring the painting of her and Poppy in her room. The others decide on more of Poppy's paintings.
