B-Players, also known as Disney's Bit Players, was a cancelled Disney Afternoon animated series developed by Jymn Magon and Len Uhley. The show underwent many reworkings, its cancellation eventually leading to it being reworked into/replaced by TaleSpin.
Plot[]
The show was to be set in a Roger Rabbit-esque world where cartoons and humans co-exist, focusing on Baloo and his comedic partner Ricky Rat as the two attempted to make their way to cartoon stardom and encourage their cast of side character partners. The villain was to be an assistant director who was also a toon, jealous of his incompetent director J. Audubon Woodlore.[1]

- Baloo - The main character. Originally envisioned as a Little John type character where he was heavily inspired by, but not actually Baloo.
- Ricky Rat - The deuteragonist. Was originally named Roderick Rat and fulfilled the villain role.
- Peter Pointer/Poocher Spaniel - The original concept for the protagonist before Baloo was chosen. A confident, hip, and talented toon dog.
- Waldo Z. Platypus - A toon platypus who specialized in physical comedy- specified to be "Gonzo-like".
- Buck Steed - A pompous and dumb horse toon who believes he doesn't need a rider to be famous.
- Fawn Deer - An airheaded toon deer who starred in toilet paper ads and who Buck had a crush on. She was later repurposed for Raw Toonage and Bonkers.
- Timothy Tortoise - Roderick's slow-witted and lethargic flunky.
- J. Audubon Woodlore - An incompetent human director with no sense of humor who was in charge of the B-Players.
- Baby Herman - The character from the original 1988 film, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, who would serve as the B-Player's agent.

- Larry Lizard - A fast-talking con artist agent toon lizard who would try and dump toons onto Herman.
- Madolyn Shrew - A toon shrew who was Baby Herman's fussy secretary.
- José Carioca - The classic Disney character, upgraded into "an 80's bon vivant".
- Clara Cluck - A reinterpretation of a classic Disney character, who would play straight man to the madness surrounding her.
