Bailey Carter is a recurring character in the Disney Channel animated series Hamster & Gretel. She is the always-supportive best friend of Gretel.
Background[]
For most of the show's first season, Bailey is unaware that her best friend Gretel and the superhero Gretel are one and the same. This came to an end in the episode "My Invisible Friend", which ends with Gretel saving Bailey from a falling light fixture, inadvertently revealing her secret to her in the process. The very next episode, "The Bitter Sitter", shows Bailey initially excited to learn this, but then spending most of the episode being angry at Gretel for not telling her the truth beforehand and refusing to speak to her as a result. After an adventure stopping FistPuncher in the human-shaped popsicle factory (with some unexpected help from The Destructress, who was babysitting them in her civilian alter-ego that night), Gretel and Bailey make amends.

Bailey has brown skin and wears red glasses. She wears a yellow long sleeve sweater with green shorts and yellow shoes and socks.

- Revealed at the 2022 Disney D23 expo, Bailey was going to be originally a one off character.[1]
- Bailey is the third person outside of the trio to know about Hamster and Gretel's superhero identities, after Fred and Abuelita.
- According to the original animatic pilot, Bailey's name was originally going to be Lonnie.
