Bambi is an upcoming American photorealistic computer-animated remake of the 1942 traditionally animated feature of the same name and the adaptation of the book Bambi: A Life in the Woods by Felix Salten. The film was announced on January 24, 2020, but no release date has been confirmed.

Development

On January 24, 2020, it was announced that Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Lindsey Beer will write the screenplay, while Chris Weitz, Paul Weitz, and Andrew Miano will produce the film. The film is reported to be seen by Disney as "a type of companion piece" to the live-action/CGI remake of The Jungle Book and the CGI remake of The Lion King.
