Bast is an anthropomorphic cat and appears to be the Mickey Mouse Funhouse's version of Bastet the Egyptian goddess of protection, pleasure, and the bringer of good health. She first appears in "You Gotta be Kitten Me!" and later appears in "This Cat Doesn't Swim!"

When Mickey and friends go to see Thalia show Daisy comments on all the cats, when Minnie explains that cats are beloved in Egypt, she says that there is a goddess that looks like a cat, Bast shows up saying she's been told of the resemblance. After she introduces herself, she asks if Mickey and friends are also going to see Thalia show and they say they are, Bast says they should go tougher. After a short walk they get to the stage, but Thalia is too scared of all the cats to come out of hiding behind a column, when Minnie and Daisy ask what's wrong she gets scared off by Bast coming to if everything is ok. After Thalia runs away to one of the pyramids, Bast says she can try to help feel less scared. When they get their Bast gets help from a cat named Scott to find Thalia, they end up finding her trapped behind a hidden door. When Scott gets Thalia out Bast shows her that cats aren't scary, but Thalia still think they are from getting scratched by one after grabbing its paw, Bast explains that cats don't like to have their paws touched and offers to show Thalia how to make friends with cats. When they get back to the stage, she helps Thalia make friends with a cat called Larry, Thalia no longer scared of cats puts on her show.
This Cat Doesn't Swim![]
When Mickey and friends go to Pete the Mighty's Party they see Bast, Kyung Won, and Ae-Che in attendance. When the sun comes Pete brings everyone to his pool. They tried to get Bast to join but she refuses because she's a cat and cats don't swim, when Kyung Won shows her that some cats swim, she still doesn't want to join instead watching from the side. Ae-Che asks Bast to play in the pool, but she says no and that she'll be waiting on the side for when Ae-Che comes out of the pool. Minnie, seeing how upset Ae-Che is at this decides she is going to teach Bast how to swim. So, with Daisy's help Minnie goes to offer help to Bast, but Bast says no and when Minnie and Daisy tell her it's nothing to be embarrassed by, Bast, trying to get out of the conversation says she wants another snack and runs off. Funny says they shouldn't make her do something she doesn't want to, but Minnie thinks she won't have fun without going swimming and goes to find her, Bast tries hiding behind some bushes, but Minnie finds her and continues trying to help. The rest of the partygoers play Marco polo Minnie invites Bast to play promising she won't get water in her ears. But after Kyung Won jumps in the water and splashes her, she gets upset, then Ae-Che comes over to get her to play in the pool, but Bast says she wants to play but not in the pool, that makes Ae-Che get upset. Pete, wanting everyone to have fun gets the idea of a biggest splash contest where Bast gets to pick the winer far away from the water, Bast says she'll need some help picking and takes Ae-Che with her. Ae-Che picks Donald as the winer.
