The Bedknob is an enchanted object central to the events of Bedknobs and Broomsticks.
Background[]
To keep the fact that Miss Eglantine Price is a witch a secret, the Rawlins children make a deal with her that they can have something special, like one of her spells. So she gives them the traveling one and casts it on a bedknob from the bed in their room. The casting ritual is to put the bedknob back on the bed, speak in a clear voice, tell it where you want to go, tap it three times, turn it a quarter to the left, and the bed will take you there. Paul is the only person who can use it.
They use it to meet Professor Emelius Brown, go to his house, Portobello Road, The Isle of Naboombu, and back home.
At the end of the film, Miss Price has lost her powers due to the Nazi invasion. Charlie says, "We ain't going to have no fun no more", Carrie reminds him that there is one way they can. Paul reveals he salvaged the bedknob from the destruction of Miss Price's workshop.
