The Belief System is a location in Riley's mind that appears in Disney•Pixar's 2024 animated feature film Inside Out 2. It is located in the lowest part of her mind, where it connects to the Headquarters base and Riley's Core Memories and beliefs are stored.
Role in the film[]
The role of the Belief System is to create one's view of themselves. Similar to the personality islands, memories also create strands of belief which form a uniquely shaped form item. It starts to form shortly before Riley becomes an official teenager. The Belief System serves as a visual representation of these internal processes. It is important to note that the Belief system can go through multiple changes as Riley grows both physically and mentally.
